It has been a while since Angela and I did a wine tour. Aiti came down to Elora for the weekend to look after Aila and Kai while we went off on an adventure with our friends. We all stayed at a nice B&B in Grimsby, and on Saturday all eight of us piled into the van and headed out to visit a bunch of wineries.

One of the most interesting wineries we visited was Tawse. It is a winery that uses biodynamic farming principles and tries to be as environmentally sensitive as possible. They even built their winery into the side of the Niagara Escarpment so that they can use gravity to filter their wine.

These are some pictures I took of the inside and outside of their winery. It was quite impressive! I'm sure I was one of the few visitors they have that actually has some sort of training in biodynamic agriculture.

I did enjoy the taste of their Pinot Noir, but it was quite expensive so I passed on it this year. Maybe next time I will be bold and purchase a bottle.

Technical Details: These photos were taken with my 5D Mark II + (Tamron 28-75, EF 17-40L) at (48mm, 17mm), (ISO 100, ISO 3200), (f/11, f/4) for (1/125th, 1/400th) of a second.
