This year June and Evelyn joined us for our annual trip to the Shantz Family Farm. It is the fourth year in a row that we have visited, so it is becoming something of a tradition.

As usual, we went on the tractor ride and listened as Farmer Kevin told us about the successes and failures of the past growing season. For example, this year he tried planting sweet corn around the edge of his property to make the tractor ride more scenic, but then found out that having it at the edge made it really easy for gangs of marauding raccoons to eat it all.

I actually remembered to take my camera this year, but it was a little cold so I didn't really get any fantastic photos. The kids had a lot of fun on the tractor ride despite the chilly weather, and I was able to capture a bit of that in this picture.

Technical Details: This photo was taken with my 5D Mark II + EF 17-40L at 17mm, ISO 200, f/8 for 1/60th of a second.
