For the long weekend this year we headed up to the Verhoeven's cottage on Baptiste Lake. It has been many years since the last time we were there. In the meantime, the Verhoevens have completely rebuilt their cottage from scratch.

We had a really fun weekend. Aila enjoyed swimming in the lake. Kai jumped in the lake too, but it was a little too cold for him. He mostly enjoyed playing soccer and building sand castles in the driveway.

Aila had the opportunity to go for a cruise on the lake and even got to steer the motor boat for a little bit! I didn't get to go on the cruise... but Angela took this photo of Aila at the helm with Jim giving her some instructions.
