After our North Shore trip we were only home for a short time before it was time to head to Blue Skies! We stayed at Silent Valley Alpaca before the festival, as is tradition. However, to our surprise the owners of the farm let us know that they were winding down the business and are planning to sell the farm sometime in the next year or two!

We will miss the alpacas, and the nice cabin that they have there that seems to be the perfect size for our family. It was also nice not to have to stress about accommodation each year, as their cabin always seemed to be available and they gave us excellent rates. In fact, they told us this year that they had already started winding down the Airbnb part of their business, but had kept the listing up for Blue Skies weekend knowing that we would probably want to stay there.

I suspect next year we will have to find somewhere else to stay the night before Blue Skies.
