This weekend was a "friends and family" weekend. Well, every weekend could be described that way, but this weekend more so than others.

On Friday, Aila's friend Evelyn (and her parents Brian and June) came over for dinner + swimming. The two of them had a great time running around on the deck together.

On Saturday, we drove to Toronto and had brunch with Jen, Matt and Nicholas at their downtown condo, and then headed over to St Lawrence Market for some food shopping. Aila was fascinated by the pasta making machine, and just sat there staring at it for a long time.

After the market, we drove to Brampton and visited Aila's newest cousin Samantha and her big brother Jeremy. Aila was a little nervous around the baby for some reason, but I was super excited to meet her for the first time. I loved her spiky long hair! Jeremy was a pleasure as well... he is always fascinated by my camera.

On Sunday, we went to Belwood Lake just outside of Fergus to meet up with Fran, Jason and Aiden. We went for a little nature walk and then Aila and Aiden went swimming in the lake. Afterwards, we all came back to our house in Elora for lunch.

This is all just the tip of the iceberg of course... Aila is lucky to have such and incredibly large group of friends and family around her age to play with.
