Waterloo had a new festival this year called LatinFest! We met up with Tanya, Jason, Chloe, Carissa and Kim, Joe, Darren and Lila for the afternoon to see what it was all about. It was a lot of fun and we're looking forward to checking it out again next year.

We also tried out the (relatively) new restaurant at Waterloo Town Square, called "Beertown". Dinners with friends are now getting quite different indeed. I could hardly believe it when I had to ask for a table for six adults and five kids. I have to say it was tons of fun sitting between Aila and Carissa though. :)

Technical details: This photo is a combination of four photos taken with my 5D Mark II + EF 17-40L at 17mm, ISO 3200, f/4 for 1/40th of a second. When taking photos of groups, I've learned to just fire off a bunch of photos so that everyone is facing the camera in at least one photo in the series. I learned this time that even that trick doesn't always work. In this case I took 17 (!) photos and Chloe wasn't looking towards the camera in any of them. Oh well.
