Aila received her first Lego (Duplo) set for Christmas! She seems to really like it. She hasn't quite got the hang of putting the blocks together yet, but she tries. She is very good at taking apart anything that I build for her all the way down to the component blocks.

Some other gifts that were a hit for her this year were a shopping cart from Aunt Christine and Uncle Aaron, and a baby with a bottle from Craig and Ari. The baby has not left her side since it was given to her, and it is often placed in the shopping cart and wheeled around the house.

We had a very good Christmas even though all of us were sick for the start of the holiday season. Aiti came down to visit for a few days which was really nice, and that allowed Angela and I to take in a couple of movies (we saw "The Hobbit" and "Life of Pi"). We are all better now, so that's good. Hopefully we can stay that way for the next little while!
