We had our first major outing as a family this Sunday. First, we attended the baptism of Kim & Joe's daughter Lila. Then Angela and Aila came to see me play with the Waterloo Concert Band for our formal spring concert.

The concert was a lot of fun, although Aila slept through the whole thing, including the theme music from the latest "Star Trek" movie, which was quite bombastic. I will be taking a break from the band for the summer now, to give me more time to spend at home during Aila's first few months. My plan is to start playing with the band again in the fall.

This is our first family photo outside of the hospital. Special thanks to Tanya for taking the photo, and Kim & Joe (and Lila) for giving us a reason to get dressed up. :)
