Part 7 - "Coming Home"

After our extended stay at the hospital, we were finally sent home. I made two trips out to the car with all of our stuff, and on the second trip I brought the carseat back with me so that we could strap Aila in safe and sound. She slept soundly as we buckled her in and made our way down to the first floor to turn in my hospital access pass. She also slept through the drizzle on the way out to the car and throughout the 20 minute drive home.

Now that we are home, Angela is balancing the need to rest and recover from her surgery with the need to feed Aila every two hours, and I'm scrambling to catch up with all of the chores that need to be done around the house. On our first day back, we looked out the window to see people opening our pool for the summer, so now I have additional chores to do on top of everything else, because I need to balance and maintain the pool as well.

And thus begins our first summer with Aila!

That concludes my 7 part POTW catch up story. Assuming I can find the time, I will now resume my regularly scheduled Picture Of The Week.

your baby sleeps a lot! 

Hahah, yes... I noticed after we got back from the hospital that I didn't take
any photos while she was awake.  I promise the next photo will show off her
beautiful eyes.  :)

You guys and Alia look great.  Very excited for both of you.

This is such a nice family picture. You and Angela are so happy and the baby is
so oblivious! Yes, there is so much to do now but it is important to be
organized and get priorities set. If things slip into chaos you won't catch up
until Aila leaves home to go to university.

Congratulations to both of you. Aila is very fortunate to have you as parents.
This is the begining of a new story in your life. All the best to the family.

Congratulations on catching up with your POTW in such a spectacular way!  I
would not be surprised if you had planned the 7-week lag on purpose!  Looking
forward to updates as time permits. Fun times ahead, for sure. :)

It's nice Aila is such a good sleeper.

She only seems to sleep like that during the day, unfortunately.  We are trying
to flip her schedule around, but I think it might take a while.
