On Sunday, we crossed the bridge over to Hull to see the snow sculptures in Jacques Cartier Park. There was one snow sculpture for each province and territory of Canada. The sculptures were amazing this year, so it was hard to pick one for a Picture Of The Week.

The winning sculpture was Alberta's entry: A giant pair of ice skates. The detail on the skates was incredible, with perfectly natural looking laces and stitching. It really was amazing to try to imagine how they carved it.

Technical details: This photo was taken with my Rebel XT + kit lens at 18mm, ISO 100, f/8 for 1/500th of a second.
