One thing that Aila really wanted to do on this trip was to go kayaking. I managed to find a great place near Cheticamp to rent some kayaks. The owner was fantastic, and the location was amazing. Finna wanted to come kayaking as well, so the owner tied a little kids' kayak to the back of mine so that I could tow her behind me. We paddled up the river and encountered a family of Common Merganser ducks, then paddled back as the sun was setting.

Aila and Finna had a great time exploring the river, and it was definitely one of the highlights of the trip for me.
