Our favourite maple syrup farm closed its doors to the public this year, which means that we didn't get to take our annual maple syrup photo there. So, the search is on for a new maple syrup farm to visit.

We saw a post on Facebook from Waylor Farm & Stables saying that they were having a one-day-only maple syrup event, with pancakes, horse-drawn wagon rides, and an easter egg hunt, so we went to check it out.

It was a nice day, and the kids enjoyed finding eggs in the forest, eating pancakes with chocolate chips, chasing chickens and turkeys around the farm, and going on a wagon ride. We enjoyed talking to the owners of the farm about all the different ways that they try to earn extra income on the farm, by renting out a bunk house on AirBnB, to offering sleigh rides in the winter, to expanding their maple syrup operation.

Technical Details: This photo was taken with my 5D Mark II + EF 24-105 L at 24mm, ISO 3200, f/4 for 1/125th of a second.
