Speaking of music festivals, there is one that happens every year right in our backyard (almost)! We have never actually been to RiverFest before, even though we can hear the music from our house. This year, when we discovered that Metric was the headliner for Saturday, we knew that we had to go.

Aunt Susan happened to be visiting that weekend, so we picked up an extra ticket for her as well. Coincidentally, friends of hers from BC happened to be playing as well, so we made sure to check out their set. This is a photo of The River and The Road rocking out on stage at RiverFest 2015!

We managed to catch most of the acts on Saturday. There were some big names there, like Alan Doyle, Tokyo Police Club, Sarah Harmer, Shad, The New Pornographers, and Metric of course. It would have been nice to catch Bruce Cockburn, but he was closing out Sunday's lineup. Angela and I missed Sarah Harmer, but we were impressed by Alan Doyle's performance. Metric was super awesome, with a mind blowing light show as well.

The festival itself seemed well organized, an amazing lineup of talent, and a pretty neat transformation of Bissell Park. We plan on making this a tradition from now on.

Technical Details: This photo was taken with my 5D Mark II + Tamron 28-75 at 44mm, ISO 1600, f/8 for 1/160th of a second.
