BBQ season is starting, and we celebrated this week by throwing a short-notice BBQ at our house on Saturday. Aila enjoyed spending the afternoon outside, first helping me do some maintenance on the pool, then joining us on the deck for veggie burgers, steak and sausages. The weather was great - overcast and cool, but not too cool, and just a few mosquitos at dusk to chase us into the house.

I'm sure there will be many more BBQs to come this summer. After the rather dismal spring we have had so far, I suspect this summer will be a hot one. Hopefully we have a lot of good weekends to spend outside on the deck and around the pool!
