This weekend Angela and I headed up to Westwind Inn to finalize some wedding details and make sure that everything was still on course for success.

We checked out the grounds, tried the food, rearranged the furniture in our heads, and went over the itinerary for the wedding weekend. We made a slight change to the menu. We switched the dessert from apple strudel (they told us that they couldn't serve it warm, and it wasn't really that good cold) to vanilla cheescake with mango topping. Hopefully that is OK with most people.

We also found out that the resort uses fabric softener on their linens, and they didn't seem keen to change that policy for the wedding. So, if you have an allergy to fabric softener, please let me know and we can try to work something out. You might have to bring your own linens though.

Other than the minor dessert glitch and the annoying fabric softener issue, our visit went very well, and I think everything is on track for a great wedding weekend in May!

This is a photo I took of Angela scoping out the beach area where our ceremony will be. As you can see, the lake is still covered in ice at the moment... but in May it should be much nicer!
