We finally got our driveway paved! Hopefully this will mean the end of pesky water drainage problems (especially in the winter), and also the end of constantly tracking gravel into the house. We promised the kids that we would buy them scooters once the driveway was paved so that they could enjoy it as much as possible before winter.

Aila got a Monster High scooter (with wheels that light up when you go, which makes it really fun to ride as the sun is going down), and Kai got a convertible scooter with a seat that he can take off once he feels more comfortable on his feet.

One thing I have noticed about Kai's scooter is that it really does a number on shoes. We bought Kai brand new shoes in September and they are almost destroyed already... shaved down on all sides from so much scooting around.

Now that we have our driveway, the next project is a shed so that we can make a bit more space in the garage.
