This year at the opening of the Grand River Raceway, they did something a little different. They had little race horses that could pull kids around the track without parents to give them a more independent experience!

Aila and Kai had a blast! Kai was a little disappointed that he didn't get to go all the way around the track though, so we waited in line for one of the big racehorses to pull us all the way around.

We learned that the horses know that if they are facing clockwise on the track that they should go slowly, but if they are facing counter-clockwise then it is time to race!
