For something a little different, we went axe throwing for Chad's birthday this year! Apparently KW has several axe throwing venues. I had never heard of it until now. We wound up going to Bad Axe Throwing in Bridgeport.

Our host and teacher Justine taught us the basics of how to throw, and thanks to her good instruction I managed to catch on to the technique pretty quickly. After some practice throws and a few warm up games, we had a tournament. It came down to a pretty exciting finish: I was ahead but then Chad hit the blue dot, which is a special bonus that brought his score up to equal mine. With everything riding on the last throw, Chad missed his but I managed to score a 4 point hit to win the tournament.
