We did some reorganizing in our house and after five long years apart we have combined our offices into one room again. This will give us a dedicated guest room, space for future family growth, and will allow Aila to move into a more spacious bedroom that will suit her until she is ready to go to university.
As part of the combining process, I had the opportunity to go through all my old textbooks and course notes to decide which ones I wanted to keep. I don't know if the kids will find any of them useful, given that they will likely have the entire internet jacked into their brain when they are older, but I kept everything that I thought might still be relevant a decade or two from now.
Some books I parted with included "Born To Code In C", which featured a multitasking application kernel for DOS, an entire set of manuals for Borland C and Borland Assembler, and course notes describing the syntax of DLX assembly language.
