For our last family vacation of the summer, we took a day off to ride the Waterloo Central Railway! Aila has been fascinated with trains for a while (and which kid wouldn't be), so it was high time that we actually rode on the train for once.

Angela managed to score an amazing combination of coupons which meant that our whole family could get return tickets for only ten dollars. We caught the train in Waterloo and rode it up to the other end of the line in the village of St. Jacobs, where we wandered around the town and had lunch. Then we rode the train back to Waterloo again.

Aila had a lot of fun on the trip. We will definitely do it again sometime when Kai is a bit older and can appreciate it more.
