Well, we had our first real snow in Waterloo for this winter. It came very early in the year, and it looks like it will stick around for at least a week! I hadn't even taken the barbecue in yet! Sigh.

However, all of this snow makes everything looks like a winter wonderland, and it brings a sort of fresh crispness to the air. I went out this morning to try to capture the first snowy image of winter. We got a lot of snow last night, but it was very light and fluffy, so it formed these neat little balls of snow on the branches of a tree in the back yard.

Technical details: This photo was taken with my Rebel XT + kit lens at 55mm, ISO 400, f/11 for 1/60th of a second. I applied some curves in Photoshop as well.
