On Saturday, Angela and I travelled to Newmarket to help Sandy and Teresa install trusses for the roof of their new house. They bought the house last year and have been renovating it themselves as much as possible. We saw it once before in the winter after they had removed most of the interior drywall, but this time I was quite shocked to see almost nothing left of the house except for the outer walls.

Our task for the day was to take the 29 trusses that were stacked on the front lawn and lift them up so that they could form the roof of the house. The weather was very hot, with the sun beating down on us all day, but we all managed to stay hydrated and the job was done by five o'clock, right on schedule.

This is a selection of photos that Angela and I took during the day.

Technical details: These photos were all taken with my Rebel XT + kit lens at 18-42mm, ISO 100, f/8 for 1/800-1/160th of a second.
