OK, we are almost finished deciding on a wedding venue! It is a very tough choice. I think our perfect venue would have the interior from Trillium, the exterior from Westwind, and the food from Northridge.

Alas, it seems that absolute perfection is hard to find! Anyway, we have pretty much narrowed it down, but we have to make a few more phone calls and ask a few more questions before we can be sure.

This is a photo that Angela took while we were checking out the Trillium Resort this weekend. We wanted to go on a hike through the woods while we were there, so the owners suggested we take the dog out with us. Unfortunately, while we were walking up the trail, we somehow missed a trail marker and got on the wrong route path. The dog seemed to know where it was going so we just followed it. By the time we realized that we were way off course (when we got to a logging road), it was too late to turn back, so we followed the road for a bit, hoping that it would lead us back to the resort (the dog was still ahead of us the whole time seemingly leading us on).

Anyway, following the road just led us further away until we had to call the resort and get someone to drive out and pick us up. How embarrassing! In our defense, all I can say is that we've been hiking all across Canada on some pretty tough trails and we have never lost our way before. I kind of wanted to hike the trail again after dinner to find the sign that we apparently missed, but it was getting dark. Oh well!
