For Easter weekend, Angela and I went for a drive up towards the "Near North" region of Ontario. We were visiting various resorts, hoping to find a good place to have our wedding next year. We haven't found the perfect place yet, but we have narrowed it down to a few choices so far.

While we were touring around, we stayed at Northridge Inn near Sundridge. It was a pretty nice location, but I don't think it made the cut for a possible wedding venue.

We also took some time to go hiking at Arrowhead Provincial Park. They had a lot of winter activities going on there, mostly focused on cross country skiing, but they also had snowshoe trails to hike on. Since there hadn't been any fresh snow for a few days, the trails were well packed and we decided to hike just in our boots. It was perfect as long as you didn't leave the trail... if you did you would quickly find yourself knee deep in snow.

This is a photo I took of Angela just as we were starting out on the trail. As you can see, the weather was beautiful and sunny. It was like that all weekend!

I think you are just going to have to keep visiting those resorts until you
find the right one! LOL Looks like a wonderful part of the country.
