This weekend was the annual Hammond/Herbert family reunion, and it was my chance to meet Angela's father's side of the family for the first time.

The reunion was held at Bruce's Mill Conservation Area near Stouffville. It looked like a nice park, although I only saw a small part of the day use area where the reunion picnic was.

The photo below was the view from our "home base" picnic table. I really liked the way this tree stood out against the sky in the harsh afternoon sun, so I tried to capture that.

Today is the first "free" day I have had in a while, so I'm trying to make the most of it, although since I've been so busy at work I have a large backlog of stuff I have to do around the house, so I don't think I will actually have much "free" time today. Oh well!

Technical details: This was shot with my Rebel XT + 10-22mm lens at 22mm, ISO 100, f/8 for 1/250th of a second.
