This weekend was the "Weekend of Concerts". On Saturday, the Waterloo Concert Band played for the opening ceremonies of the "Wonders of Winter" light display in Waterloo Park. On Sunday, the band had our formal Christmas concert, and today (Monday) we played a shorter version of our concert at a retirement home.
With all the time spent playing the clarinet, I didn't have a chance to pick up my camera. Luckily, Angela brought her camera to fill the void.
This is a photo she took at the Wonders of Winter opening ceremony, featuring Jason and Tanya by candlelight.
I want to give a special thanks to everyone who came out to the concert on Sunday, especially those that travelled large distances in the not-so-good weather! It was great to have such a big audience!
Technical details: This was shot with Angela's Powershot SD450 at 5.8mm, Auto ISO, f/2.8, for 1/8th of a second.
The opening of Wonders of Winter was a lovely start to the Advent season. I recommend it to anyone in the area. I even recommend driving down for it. This is a lovely picture of Jason and Tanya, capturing their happy spirits!-- Mum at 9:33am, Saturday December 9, 2006 EST
