Last weekend was Zoe's second birthday, and an opportunity for Jenny and Brent to have people over at their new house in Toronto. It seems everyone is moving these days. All four of my sisters have moved recently... from Newfoundland to Ottawa, from Ottawa to Burnaby, from Waterloo to Redmond, and from an apartment to a new house in Toronto.

Luckily, I'm staying put for a while. Living the quiet life. This weekend I cleaned out my eavestroughs. That's the pace of life here in Waterloo. It's a simple town with simple folk. Actually we hosted a sushi/karaoke party last night that was quite entertaining, but today was spent scooping crud out of plastic troughs.

Anyway, Jenny's new house was super cool, and Zoe's birthday cake was very tasty, so that is what I have selected for this week's picture.

Technical details: This was shot with my Rebel XT + 50mm 1.8 Mark II, ISO 1600, f/1.8 for 1/1000th of a second.

Even though this is a picture of her cake, I'm totally counting this as Zoe's
second POTW appearance of the year.  :)
