On thanksgiving weekend this year I journeyed to Ottawa to attend the 25th anniversary of the Ottawa Waldorf School. (Forgive their ugly website... they are new to this whole "internet" thing.) My old classmate Manny was there. He runs www.ecohabitation.com, which is devoted to educating people about the methods and viability of ecologically friendly building processes. The reunion reminded me of a picture I took of my classmates way back in 1989. This is my Grade 8 class, minus Paul and myself. (Manny is sitting on the window sill.) I wish I could go back in time and take the picture with a decent camera instead of a cheap instant 35mm, but I can't, so all I have to work with is the original slide. Oh yes, we were actually painting that day, which is why everyone is dressed poorly. This is a terrible picture in so many respects... but it's all I have. Sigh.
