Well, Aravind decided to buy a new telescope. He traded in his manual 10 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope for a fully motorized 8 inch SCT. Last week we drove up past Elmira to look at the moon and a few interesting Messier objects. Ever since a few weeks ago, I've wanted to take a picture of the moon through a telescope with my camera mounted on a tripod. This is a picture I took with my digital camera on a tripod, looking through a 50mm eyepiece on Aravind's new telescope. I think it turned out really well.
