After going out stargazing three weeks ago, my friend Aravind decided to fulfill his childhood dream of owning a telescope. So, while we were in Toronto for Taste Of The Danforth, Aravind picked up a used Meade 10" Schmidt-Cassegrain scope with an equatorial wedge. The next night, we decided to take it out for a test drive. Unfortunately, the store had neglected to include the appropriate eyepiece attachment, so we couldn't use the telescope. However, while we were figuring this out, I pointed my camera towards Perseus and took this long exposure. I have a feeling that the next few weeks will contain a few pictures using Aravind's new telescope.

This was taken somewhere north of Elmira. I'm not even going to guess where.
