Angela and I journeyed to the far and distant lands of the Toronto Zoo this weekend. You may find it odd that out of all the strange and exotic animals at the zoo, I would choose a picture of a great blue heron as my picture of the week. Well, part of that has to do with my love of native Canadian animals. The other part has to do with the fact that my digital camera ran out of battery power before we got to the Africa zone, so I couldn't get any pictures of the really cool animals. :) I had a really great time though, and maybe I will get to go back later this summer with a full battery pack.
