For the long weekend, Angela suggested that we visit Ottawa as tourists and take in the sights during the last weekend of the Tulip Festival. The weather was nice to us, and we had a great time. We got a hotel room and restricted ourselves to purely tourist endeavours. This building should be instantly recognizable to every Canadian. We tried to get a parliamentary tour, but with the number of tourists in town for the festival, we would have had to get up very early in the morning in order to reserve a spot. One of these days we will go on a weekday and maybe even sit in on a session in the house of commons.
