Continuing our string of music concerts in 2023, Angela and I went to see David Francey at the Princess Cinema in Waterloo! For those not familiar with David Francey's music, I highly suggest that you give it a listen. I have put together a playlist to help, but a great place to start is his first album, "Torn Screen Door".

He did not disappoint, as usual. His concerts are half story, half music, as he spends a lot of time telling the stories behind each of the songs. At the time when I went to the concert, I posted on Facebook that he was an "underrated Canadian icon". Since then, he has won a Juno award for Traditional Roots Album of the Year in 2024!

I'm currently teaching myself how to play Broken Glass on the guitar, mostly because I love the story behind it and the way he captures the feeling of being a shy boy in high school absolutely perfectly.
