We get a lot of salamanders in our backyard, especially around our pool. I've just become used to it, until one day I was telling a friend of ours about them and she didn't believe me! I couldn't find one for her in the moment, but I said I would catch one and deliver it to her door in a container so that her kids could see it.

After that, I realized that I had never bothered to take a picture of any of the salamanders. So the next time we caught one, we put it in a container with some water and some twigs, and it was nice enough to pose for a photo before we released it again.
