We had a clear night for the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower this year, so I decided to go out to the front yard and see if I could see some in my little patch of the sky. I put the fisheye lens on my camera to capture the full view of what I could see from my chair, and then just stared at the sky while taking photos. I had a very nice view of the Summer Triangle (Vega, Deneb and Altair) and the Milky Way.

I only saw two meteors while I was out, but I managed to capture one of them on camera. This one is heading in the correct direction to be one of the Perseid meteors.

Technical Details: This photo was taken with my 5D Mark II + Peleng 8mm fisheye at ISO 3200, f/4 for 30 seconds.
