We did something a little different for our Christmas light display this year. We bought some coloured lights for the big cedar tree in the front yard, but we couldn't settle on a decent way to display them on that tree. Instead, we decided to make an arch over the driveway.

We had some extra lights left over after making the arch, so I also extended it out to make a stylistic Christmas tree shape on the left. Aila also found some pink and purple lights at Canadian Tire, so we put those in a kind of double-helix pattern on the big walnut tree in the background.

If nothing else, it made it very easy to find out driveway at night this year!
