It has been 20 years since I graduated high school. That means it is time for my 20 year high school reunion! I had fun a decade ago at the 10 year reunion, so I was looking forward to this one.

The timing was a little strange, with the reunion being on a Friday afternoon, and unfortunately Angela couldn't join me this time, but I was still determined to go (and show off my kids of course). So, I packed both kids into the new van on Thursday night at bedtime, and drove overnight to Aiti's house in Carleton Place. I managed to convince Luch to come with me to the reunion (and he doubled as a backup driver in case I was sleepy).

My plan worked fairly well... the kids slept the whole way down, and even fell asleep again almost immediately when we got inside Aiti's house. They had a pretty good time at the reunion (which was held at Britannia Park - leftmost photo), and we spent Saturday visiting friends around Ottawa as well. Aila and Kai really had fun visiting Adam, Kate and Julia at Brewer Park. I didn't bring their bathing suits, but I did have spare clothes so I just set them loose in the water park fully dressed.

All in all, it was a great weekend. The reunion was fun, and everyone was really happy that I convinced Luch to come. The kids had a good time sleeping in the new van and staying over at Aiti's house. I definitely enjoyed myself and it was a great inaugural trip for the Odyssey!
