We took the kids on their first visit to a real aquarium! We met up with Adam, Kate & Julia, and Id, Adrienne & Merritt at Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto.

Aila had a lot of fun crawling through the underwater tunnel and playing with the fancy water table, and Kai was really fascinated by all the fish. I think Kai's favourite part was seeing the big sharks swim overhead in the "Dangerous Lagoon".

The aquarium was really impressive, and definitely comparable to some of the other aquariums that Angela and I have been to in Vancouver, Auckland, and of course the Monterey Bay Aquarium. They have really packed a lot of content into a relatively small space.

This is a photo of Kai at the jellyfish exhibit.

Technical Details: This photo was taken with my 5D Mark II + Tamron 28-75 at 75mm, ISO 800, f/2.8 for 1/50th of a second.

Comments

Because of my new glasses, this photo comes out as a 3D image. I guess it is
the colouring. It's great!
