Our office held the first officially sanctioned video game night (codenamed "Night Shift 2014")! After work one Friday, more than a dozen of us crammed our computers into the training room for a makeshift LAN party. Video games were selected, pizza was ordered, families were ignored, and much fun was had.

We played three genres of games: FPS (Team Fortress 2), RTS (Starcraft 2), and MOBA (League of Legends, DOTA 2). I had never played a MOBA before, so I was a little lost at times, but I had fun playing Starcraft and Team Fortress.

Hopefully events like this become more of a regular thing. I find that I don't have a lot of time to play video games at the moment, so it is nice to have an evening now and then to just ignore the outside world and dive into it with a bunch of friends.

Thanks to Gyorgy (pictured in the back with his hand up) and the rest of the social committee for organizing Night Shift 2014!

Technical Details: This photo is a panorama taken with my Moto G and hastily stitched together using Hugin.
