This has been a really cold and snowy winter. Perfect weather for the annual Winterloo festival (formerly the Ice Dogs festival) in Waterloo! We had a great time as usual. Aila was pulled by a sled dog, and she loved going down the ice slide this year. We also watched the ice carvers at work on their creations for the ice sculpting contest.

At home, we are still buried deep in snow, and the weather shows no signs of getting warmer any time soon. Our roof seems to have some serious problems with ice dams, so that is something that is keeping me busy at the moment. I think I will have to seriously look into a new roof this summer. If anyone has suggestions about eco-friendly roofing materials, let me know.
