During our trip to New York, I got to choose which activities we did on my birthday. We started the day with a walking tour of Central Park. Since it was a relatively short walking tour, we only got to see the south end of the park, but it was still interesting.

After seeing Central Park, I called home and talked to Aila on the phone. Then we headed over to The Hayden Planetarium where we saw Journey To The Stars, which is the first time I've seen a show at a planetarium.

Of course no trip to New York would be complete without visiting the only museum in North America dedicated to mathematics, MoMath! The museum just opened a few months ago, but they had a few really neat exhibits. On the lower floor (labelled "-1" in the elevator), they had tables set up with various puzzles on them. It was oddly comforting to see people sitting down in the middle of the museum quietly trying to solve some difficult puzzles.

After the museum closed and we were kicked out, we headed down to Brooklyn for the Postal Service concert. It was a great way to end my birthday!
