We had our first BBQ + bonfire of the season this weekend. A bunch of friends came over for burgers out on the back deck, and then we all went down to the firepit to roast marshmallows.

The weather was fantastic, and we managed to wrap everything up just before we were hit with a freak thunderstorm. The thunderstorm knocked a bunch of power lines down in Winterbourne, so just before the last of our guests went home, we lost power. I took that as an excuse to go to bed early without cleaning up after the party. :)

This year we hope to take advantage of our backyard more often, and host more events like this. Next time the pool should be open too, so the kids can go swimming!
