Aila is learning how to walk, which is very exciting. Some of you may remember that she took her first step a few weeks ago. She is very proud of herself now that she can walk around the house all by herself.

On Saturday morning I took her out into the chilly air for a change of scenery. We took the stroller down to the pedestrian bridge near our house, and Aila had great fun walking up and down the entire length of the bridge several times! I took a lot of photos, and I had a really hard time deciding which one to use as my Picture of the Week. So I compromised a little and picked two photos. You can see the second one by moving your mouse cursor on and off the image.

The first one (with your mouse cursor off the image) was my favourite of the entire session in terms of composition and content, but I just had to include one of her smiling face. She was giggling with joy at the sight of me running backwards in front of her snapping photos.

For those of you who just can't get enough of Aila, I also have another new video of Aila eating a snack. After a pretty rough few weeks of her being sick, it is really nice to have her healthy and happy again. Hopefully she stays healthy for our trip to Florida next week!

Technical details: This photo was taken with my 5D Mark II + Tamron 28-75 at 62mm (75mm), ISO 100, f/4 for 1/640th (1/800th) of a second.
