This weekend we took Aila to her first ever Blue Skies! As you all probably know, we try to go to the Blue Skies Music Festival every year (we missed 2007 due to our big trip across western Canada ). Since we had Aila this year, we were not sure how she would handle the trip, so instead of camping there we decided to rent a cabin nearby and go in on day passes.

As it turned out, she loved Blue Skies and probably would have been fine camping there. Next year she will definitely be old enough to camp, so if we are lucky enough to get passes, that's what we will do.

Here are two photos of Aila's first Blue Skies experience. On the left, she's getting ready to go to some workshops with Dad. She loved the Irish music workshop, and was dancing and laughing whenever the band was playing. On the right, she is sitting on the hill with Mom getting ready for the Saturday night concert. We brought some hearing protection for her because the concerts can get quite loud at times. She didn't seem to mind them too much, and managed to fall asleep pretty easily when it got dark.
