After Canada Day, we went to Kris & Jen's house in Wellesley for a jerk chicken BBQ. There were two other babies there that were the same age as Aila: James and Titus, so that was exciting. None of the babies really cared, but the parents did, so that's what counts. :)

During the BBQ, it looked like it was going to storm so we took the party inside. As the sun was going down, we noticed that the poor weather had turned into a spectacular sunset! It is always hard to photograph a sunset and do it justice, but I tried my best without a tripod. Luckily the 5D performs really well in low light situations.

Just after I took this photo we were treated to a huge lightning display. It was the icing on the cake of a really impressive sunset!

Technical details: This photo was taken with my 5D Mark II + EF 17-40mm at 17mm, ISO 3200, f/4 for 1/30th of a second.
