Aila celebrated her first Canada Day this weekend! We spent the day close to our house, starting out with the volunteer firefighters' pancake breakfast in Elora, followed by a parade. After that, we headed to Bissell Park for a duck race just a few hundred meters downriver from our house. Later on in the evening we drove into Fergus for a concert and fireworks at the recreation centre.

I like taking pictures of fireworks, and of course I can't resist taking photos of Aila, especially when she is wearing her special Canada Day outfit! So, this week I present "Canada Day" Aila, and a photo of her first fireworks show!

Oh yes, I should say that Aila absolutely loved the fireworks. She was wide eyed and mesmerized for the entire show!

What a great pair of pictures!	Aila lights up the dark table the way the
fireworks light up the night sky.

A naturalist and astronomer for sure. Did she count the bursts also? Did you
take the pic after three bursts? If so, you have a genius on your hands!

Oh, I didn't notice she was holding up her thumb too. Was it 4 bursts?
