This weekend proved to be a social one for us. On Saturday, we attended the K-W Multicultural Festival in Kitchener, and then we were invited to a BBQ + Tequila night at Ken and Laura Lee's place. Then Aiti arrived for a visit on Sunday morning and we headed to Guelph to check out the Local Food Fest, which was held at the Jesuit Centre, which is not too far from Elora. After that, we headed to Waterloo for the first concert of the summer concert series in Waterloo Park, put on by the Waterloo Concert Band. This was my first time as an audience member, since I have decided to take the summer off to spend time with my family.

It was a busy weekend, but we had a lot of fun, and Aila was great the whole time. She did sleep through most of the Local Food Fest, so while Mom and Aiti were shopping for locally grown organic foodstuffs, I took this picture of Aila in her stroller. I think we will try to go back again next year, although I was a little disappointed in that I didn't feel the festival was "hardcore" enough. I mean, I enjoyed the M&M cookies, but I'm not sure how many of the ingredients were actually local.
