As our "last vacation before the baby is born", we decided to go to Ottawa for Winterlude. We had fun checking out the ice and snow sculptures, and watching people skate on the canal. This year the ice sculpture competition was held under large tents, which did a good job of preserving the sculptures from the elements, but made it very difficult to get good photographs of them.

So, this is a picture of one of the outdoor ice sculptures that was not part of the competition. They seemed to have a yin yang theme this year, and that element was present in all of the sculptures.

Technical details: This photo was taken using by 5D Mark II + Tamron 28-75 at 30mm, ISO 100, f/8 for 1/320th of a second.
