There is no denying it... it is definitely winter! Early one morning I was up getting fresh water for the frogs and enjoying the view out of the family room window, and I thought maybe other people would enjoy this view too! I still don't have a nice wide angle lens for my new camera, but I do have my trusty old fisheye lens from Belarus. So this is a fisheye view of what the back yard looks like in the winter.

One thing about having a 180 degree field of view: It is surprisingly hard to keep your feet out of the picture! I always have to make a conscious effort to avoid making that mistake. Evidently it was too early in the morning for me to be fully conscious when I took this picture.

I should also start carrying my camera with me whenever I go get the mail. Twice this week I have managed to unknowingly sneak up on one or more deer at the end of our driveway. Both times I haven't noticed them until they suddenly bolted out from right under my nose off into the field across the street.

Technical details: This photo was taken using by 5D Mark II + Peleng 8mm fisheye at 8mm, ISO 800, f/8 for 1/25th of a second.
