Clearly I married the right woman. Angela bought me a PlayStation 3 and "The Beatles: Rock Band" for Christmas! That is one of the reasons why I'm so late in updating my Picture Of The Week. I've been pretending to be Ringo, drumming along to 45 different Beatles tunes!

My video game drumming skills are definitely improving. I managed to successfully sight read all 45 songs on expert the first time through. It will take a bit more effort for me to get five stars on all of them though.

The game comes with a good selection of tracks, and I'm looking forward to finally having access to downloadable content! Unfortunately I will have to wait until I get Rock Band 2 before I can start downloading any non-Beatles songs. Angela also bought "Karaoke Revolution: American Idol - Encore", and "Karaoke Revolution: American Idol - Encore 2", and "SingStar: Queen", so we will have to have a karaoke party sometime.

This is a photo of me playing "Hard Day's Night" on expert drums.

Technical details: This photo was taken with my Rebel XT + kit lens at 33mm, ISO 1600, f/8 for 1/20th of a second. I used a tripod and the ten second timer and ran back and forth between the drums and the camera to take the photo, while still maintaining my 4x multiplier for the picture. :)

she ever did figure it out.  Thank goodness for Angela!

It turns out Santa was just two decades early and I didn't know it at the time.
